Step 3.
Next we'll work on the piece above the keys.
It is a piece of foam core that is almost twice as big as the
front face. I used the decal as a guide for the front face.
Then, I cut through the top layer of foam core but not all the way
thru.
Step 4.
On the uncut side apply adhesive to the small
part of the cut.
Step 5.
Fold it over to make a double thick piece.
Press it firmly to make sure it sticks.
Step 6.
Fold, test fit, and apply the decal to this
piece. Then set it aside.
Step 7.
Moving on to the Top. This decal will need
to be trimmed to fit correctly. The black rectangle was
intended to be decorative. Center up the cardboard piece in
the middle of the decal and mark each corner. Then make the
cuts as shown. This will give you four "flaps". Fold
and test fit. A hint for folding, I use my ruler as a
straight edge when folding long folds.
Step 8.
Apply adhesive as show to the top piece.
Step 9.
Fold the ends over as shown. You should
apply adhesive where the decals overlap. (I had to add some lines
to show the other 2 flaps, flash washed them out.)
Step 10.
Fold the remaining two flaps over. If you
have any overhang, carefully trim it off.
